Up to 10 participants per group.
This is a Japanese calligraphy experience centered on Kanji. You can express your own name using Kanji, or write your favorite words, a personal motto, or a message to someone important to you. The finished artwork can be kept as a personal souvenir, or given as a meaningful gift to someone special.
Even first-time participants do not need to worry, as a calligraphy master will provide careful, step-by-step guidance throughout the experience. Please immerse yourself in the fragrance of ink and enjoy a calm, enriching, and peaceful time.
~Experience Flow~
① Explanation of the experience and discussion of the characters you would like to write.
② The calligraphy master explains the meanings of Kanji and how to use tools such as brushes and ink, followed by a live demonstration.
③ Practice begins on hanshi (Japanese calligraphy paper). During this stage, you are free to practice as many times as you like, while receiving guidance on brush techniques and the meanings of the characters. Beginners can enjoy the process with ease and creativity.
④ Before creating the final piece, there will be further explanation of key points and techniques for completing the artwork.
⑤ Create the final work and take commemorative photos.
⑥ Matcha break (you may experience preparing matcha yourself).
⑦ Final Experience: a large-scale wall calligraphy performance. Using an extra-large brush, you will freely write on a wall surface with expressive strokes.
